Mady Eckstein, the creator of Nantucket Fragrances Ltd., has spent many summers on Nantucket being constantly inspired by the Island's natural beauty, especially the tantalizing scents.

Long walks over the moors, winding bicycle rides along fragrant paths and lazy sun-filled days beside the sea prompted her to put to use her previous education in Paris, where she studied the Alchemy of Perfume.

Encouraged by her young daughter Rena, Mrs. Eckstein applied this knowledge as they went about capturing the unique fragrances of the multitude of Nantucket roses, the ever present sea and gathering a myriad of the flowering plants and wild herbs indigenous to the Island.
